What we do when we get it wrong.
Our position
We do not quietly rewrite. Where an article is factually wrong we change the text and note at the foot of the piece what changed and when, so the original claim stays checkable.
What counts as a correction
A factual error, a wrong calculation, a misquoted source, or an out-of-date figure or rate. Typos and clarifications we fix without a note.
